Do you suffer from headaches? Do you feel the pulsing and repeated pain often only on one side of your head? Then you may suffer from migraine attacks. Never underestimate headaches as they might be a symptom of life-threatening diseases, and for this reason, they should be examined by a neurologist.
Characteristics of Migraine and its Causes
Migraine consists of periodically repeated attacks of unilateral or bilateral severe headache. It is often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, chills, heightened sensitivity to light and/or noise.
About one third of people affected by this disease can feel the aura. Aura is a stage that takes place immediately before the pain comes in. It is often described as bright or colourful light or a rainbow.
Aura can be preceded by podrome, also called pre-headache. It is a stage of warning signs coming in from 2 hours to 2 days before the aura or pain strikes. It may be in the form of mood changes, irritation, depression or euphoria.
Postdrome is a stage when the pain is subsiding and the feeling of relief or exhaustion arrives. These consequences can last even days after the most severe pain subsides.
A migraine is considered chronic when the pain lingers for 15 days and longer.
Women are affected more frequently than men. Migraine in children is not a rare occurrence.
The main cause of the illness is not clear; heredity, however, plays a role.
Triggers may be:
- lack of sleep,
- consumption of alcohol,
- hormonal changes (menopause),
- menstrual cycle,
- changes to the pressure,
- bright light,
- loud noise,
- strong smell,
- excess use of medication.
Migraine Treatment – Rid yourself of the Pain
It is of utmost importance to eliminate the possibility that the symptoms are caused by a different illness, especially by a tumour.
Treatment of migraine is based on preventing new migraine attacks. In order to do that, all possible triggers must be eliminated. It is also important to establish a resting period, time to relax and adjustments to lifestyle.
In case of mild attacks, analgesics or non-steroid antiphlogistics are administered. With medium and severe forms, specific anti-migraine drugs, the so-called triptans, are preferred. Beta-blockers and other drugs are used in a preventive way.
Mitigation of symptoms is achieved by physical therapy.
It is recommended to apply 3D Biomag pulsed therapy, which helps solve issues arising from migraine attacks. The goal of application is to soothe pain, improve the quality of blood supply in the targeted area and to prevent new attacks.
Explanation of chosen terms:
- Aura – a sensory perception, with various individual descriptions, which comes before a migraine starts.
- Podrome – a beginning phase of a migraine, which starts hours or days before pain comes in.
- Postdrome – a final phase of a migraine. It is the state right after pain subsides.
- Photophobia – heightened sensitivity to light.
- Phonophobia- heightened sensitivity to noise.
Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?
The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.
The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.
Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.
What are the benefits of treating migraines?
- Improves metabolism and microcirculation.
- Starts detoxication and regeneration in targeted areas.
- Helps soothe pain.
- Thanks to being easy to use, it can be applied at home.
- It’s a solution with no additional medicaments.
- It’s a non-invasive treatment.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies
The effects of pulsed therapy (PEMF) on migraines are supported by many studies, like the one performed by the Indian team of U. K. Misra. It confirms that pulsed therapy (PEMF) reduces the number of migraine attacks, their intensity and duration. It follows from the above mentioned that 3D Biomag therapy can help treat these issues. More about this scientific study.
Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.
Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.
University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department
We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).
Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad
We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.
