Is your nose stuffy? Are you running a temperature, cough and have a headache? Is the pain dull and radiating from the upper jaw, cheeks or forehead? You are probably suffering from inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis). It may require antibiotic treatment. See your physician to get the right treatment.
Characteristics of Sinusitis and its Causes
Inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis) is an inflammatory disease of the paranasal sinuses. It often affects the maxillary sinuses and ethmoid sinuses. Frontal sinuses are not affected very often, and sphenoid sinuses issues are rare.
In most cases, bacterial infection is the cause, which in turn often develops after a viral infection in the nasal cavity or after inflammation of the tooth socket. Allergies may also cause it.
Weakened immunity, overheated living areas with low humidity, insufficient intake of vitamins or long periods of stress are all risk factors.
A physician will confirm the diagnosis when they perform examination, rhinoscopy, through x-ray imaging or by diaphanoscopic (evaluates the condition of sinuses) means.
Sinusitis Treatment – Rid yourself of the Issue
In case of viral origin, rest and strengthening immunity are essential. Pathological changes are usually only temporary and may subside without special treatment.
With bacterial infection, targeted antibiotic treatment is usually administered.
In cases where sinusitis has severe progress, paracentesis (tapping) may be necessary.
Nasal drops can be administered as support treatment, along with applying warm baths to lower limbs and arms.
Application of 3D Biomag therapy may be used to open the Eustachian tube which is obstructed due to swelling. The goal of applications is to accelerate healing of mucosa and bring relief from some of the symptoms (swelling, secretion).
If ENT treatment is necessary for sinusitis, 3D Biomag pulsed therapy should be applied as early as possible along with other targeted treatment methods.
Explanation of chosen terms:
- Rhinosinusitis – sinusitis that affects both sinuses and the mucosa of the nasal cavity.
- Otitis media – inflammation of the middle ear.
Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?
The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.
The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.
Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.
What are the benefits of therapy of sinusitis?
- Reduces swelling, accelerates healing of mucosa.
- Improves the effect of antibiotic treatment.
- Thanks to being easy to use, it can be applied at home.
- It’s a solution with no additional medicaments.
- It’s a non-invasive treatment.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies
The clinically-most-significant effects of 3D Biomag pulsed therapy in patients with sinusitis are mainly in the anti-oedematous (anti-swelling) and healing effects.
Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.
Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.
University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department
We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).
Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad
We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.
Masaryk hospital, Jilemnice
We use Biomag for sports injuries - swollen ankles, knees. It's very effective for constipation. The device accelerated healing during burns, cysts, sinusitis. I also appreciate its storage and practicality.Šárka Černá, Stojice
We used Biomag for lingering cavities, nausea, toothache, cervical spine pain, shoulders, high pressure, kidney regeneration. We highly recommend using it as we have very good experience.Jozef Bednár, Veĺká Lehota
